Happy March from the Cornwall Yarn Shop!

The classes are finally posted on the website!! Besides our great local teachers, we have 2 guest instructors. You may register in person or by phone.

Our color of the month is, of course, green, glorious green – and all green and greeny-ish yarns are 15% off from now until March 18 (that’s right, we’ll be open that Sunday!)

New Yarns!!
Riverstone from Louet is a soft and lovely true worsted weight wool yarn that we’ve gotten in 8 colors – and at 193 yards/skein and only 6.50, it’s great for garments or felting.

Cashmerino is our first yarn from our new line, Punta del Este, and it is unspeakably yummy – a soft light blend of, yup, cashmere and merino, it would be perfect for a delicate summer shawl or stole in lace.

And speaking of lace, don’t miss our other new line, Alpaca With a Twist! Not only do we have their gorgeous Glimmer alpaca fingering weight yarn (and check out the patterns to go with it!), we also have their alpaca lace-weight yarn and their chunky Highland Twist. As always, alpaca is one of the nicest yarns on the shelf…

Calling out to our dedicated sock-knitters! We have the new Panda Wool (bamboo and wool) from Crystal Palace in solids and coordinating variegated colors; new On-Line self-striping sock yarn; and for the man in your life, great solid colors in the fingering weight, machine-washable Gems Merino.

For those of you with value and wearability on your mind, there’s Encore worsted yarn. We’ve got new great new colorways in, and don’t miss the mitered baby blanket made with hot pink, lime green and white Encore! And if you’re knitting for little ones, we have new stock and colors of Buttons DK.

We have new yarns & books from Louisa Harding and some new soft earthtones in Elsebeth Lavold’s Silky Wool

Our spring and summer yarns are starting to come in and we always try to showcase them at the front of the store, so check there first when you come in.

We are in the process of doing our “spring cleaning”, which means that the newly organized Cheap Thrills area will be getting weekly infusions of yarn that are ends of dye lots, or something that hasn’t been loved enough at its current location. If you need a quick yarn fix, some yarn for charity knitting or just want to “enhance your stash”, check out Cheap Thrills!

Keep an eye out for upcoming dates: Spring Fashion Show & Tell (Project Runaway??); Hike-a-thon; and our 2nd Annual Cruising for Yarn!!

As always, Happy Knitting from Gail and Cynthia
